Mythology
-Neptune is used in modern entertainment as King Neptune in many movies and TV shows, ruler of the sea. He is included with his trident.
-The Disney movie Hercules obviously comes from the Greek and Roman Hercules myth.
-The Percy Jackson and the Olympians book series is very based on Greek and Roman myths.
Culture
-The study of Latin, including Roman history and mythology has become a part of modern culture in that it is being taught in many schools and enjoyed by many students.
-Many modern mottoes, often the direct Latin, not the translations have become a part of culture for a lot of people. ex: E Pluribus Unum
The Romans had many things in their culture that we have now, including race tracks, plays, and malls (sort of).

Along with words coming directly from Latin, many English words have roots that come from Latin. (ex: quadralateral - quattor is 4 in Latin.)
Literature
Many Roman stories written in Latin are still told today.
Many modern books have been translated into Latin to teach it.
Many people have written stories based off of Roman literature.
